Draw a pig and see what it says about your personality.

It says "You are not the kind of person who believes stupid OMG I WILL DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY FROM A SAMPLE OF YOUR ANAL MUCUS sites are worth a damn."
Truly uncanny. posted by Decani at 4:36 PM on March 6, 2006
I like the pig-drawing, but the analysis does not impress. posted by Uccellina at 4:50 PM on March 6, 2006
Well of course it's bullshit. But it's a simple, fun diversion which I think some people will get a kick out of. if you don't, move on. Don't even click on the link. It's that simple. posted by Effigy2000 at 4:51 PM on March 6, 2006
OMG, this is like, SO TOTALLY grade three. posted by arcticwoman at 4:53 PM on March 6, 2006
I can't draw with a mouse. My pig, uh, blew goats. posted by sharpener at 4:53 PM on March 6, 2006
Clearly, you philistines don't recognize the superior pleasure that one derives from the mere act of drawing a hog. posted by Joey Michaels at 4:54 PM on March 6, 2006
I apologize for pissing on the thread. I'm moving on. posted by squarehead at 4:54 PM on March 6, 2006
All the descriptions could really apply to anybody. Some of the drawings in the gallery were cool, especially considering how hard it is to draw with a mouse. posted by martinX's bellbottoms at 4:54 PM on March 6, 2006
I agree, some of the pigs were really impressive. posted by arcticwoman at 4:56 PM on March 6, 2006
I liked it. And my special pig. posted by recurve at 4:56 PM on March 6, 2006
I enjoyed drawing a pig, as I enjoy drawing many things with my little trackball. Squiggle squiggle squiggle. posted by davejay at 4:58 PM on March 6, 2006
I had to do this on paper in a CLE session on stress management a couple of years ago. Maybe it was done tongue-in-cheek, with the expectation that everyone would register it as the silliness it was, but the exercise did not inspire confidence in the lecturer. posted by dilettante at 5:02 PM on March 6, 2006

While there are many talented mouse-users out there, a relatively high proportion of the more talented artists in general would probably have a graphics tablet on hand to draw with. posted by rafter at 5:08 PM on March 6, 2006
And yeah, the personality stuff is a joke, but the link is totally worth it just for the pig gallery. I love stuff like this. I would love to see an average of all pigs drawn or something. posted by rafter at 5:09 PM on March 6, 2006
I love it!
Totally awesome - and I think the personality profile was spot on.
okay, yeah, the gallery does make it worth it, and I've already gone back and drawn two more pigs, so I'll eat my words supra. (Although I don't think the descriptions would apply to anybody. Me being the type who remembers birthdays?!?) posted by squarehead at 5:17 PM on March 6, 2006
You guys (the first few posts anyway) are wrong: you can tell what people are like from how they draw, godamnit! It's not spot on (surprise surprise) but when you compare yours to others you learn something. Screw you guys :p posted by Acey at 5:29 PM on March 6, 2006
FWIW, try the house one. It's better. posted by Acey at 5:30 PM on March 6, 2006

Well spotted, B_B. But can it really be called viral marketing if it's not actually advertising anything? posted by Faint of Butt at 5:39 PM on March 6, 2006
Drawing a pig is awesome. The personality test is actually amazingly bad, and managed to guess the complete opposite of my personality on pretty much every single point.
My pig is here, although I got a bit distracted partway through. posted by xthlc at 5:56 PM on March 6, 2006
Here's my pig. Damn, pig-drawing shrinks psycho babble bs trying to tell me about my sex life based on size of pig's tails, grumble, kvetch, rar.... posted by marxchivist at 6:45 PM on March 6, 2006
My pig says I need a pen and a tablet to draw anything that even remotely resembles a pig. posted by graventy at 7:24 PM on March 6, 2006
Obviously there's not a lot of serious psychoanalysis in a drawing of a pig, but trees are a whole other issue.
As an actual diagnostic tool, there's not much here, but as a discussion point and a way of gaining insight, this sort of concept is not without its uses. While I was on a cruise one year with my parents, my mother and I sat in on a dendrographology session presented purely for amusement value. The assessment of our trees was right more often than it was wrong, but what was far more interesting was the discussion that resulted.
Her tree indicated that she was, perhaps a bit on the controlling side - something I'd always felt but never given voice to. We had a conversation about it, and I came out of it feeling like I knew and understood her a whole lot better.
My tree indicated I was feeling a significant sense of stress and loss over something, and we had a discussion about what that might be, as well.
So, in short actual conclusions = stupid, making you think about = good. posted by jacquilynne at 7:24 PM on March 6, 2006
The length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life.
And again more is better! You did not draw a tail :)
OH SNAP!
It was off the page and/or buried in mud. Now, what that says ... posted by dhartung at 8:14 PM on March 6, 2006
Hmmm... pig tails in general are small. And I see that most people drew small-ish tails on their pigs. Does that mean we all have terrible sex lives? Or that we just make fairly accurate recordings of reality? Or is my idea of "small" way off?
Nice Donkey: I think if you are drawing an animal, and you put long eyelashes on the animal, it means you are a girl. posted by Baby_Balrog at 6:16 AM on March 7, 2006
