This reminds me: one of the cool bars I scoped out while in Edinburgh during my trip to Scotland last October ("Darkstar's Scotchtoberfest 2005") was the "Jekyll and Hyde" pub.

Gnarly atmosphere. Cool "gothic horror" motif. Hidden doorway to bathrooms, the decor with a kind of a twisted Victorian scientist's dungeon laboratory vibe, as the name would suggest.

Extremely pricy drinks, though.

If I ever opened a bar, it might look a lot like this. Maybe a bit less tacky, though...
