We used to have a house-rule in tournament foos that said if the ball left the playing field during the game, and you caught it, you won a point for your team. We video taped the finals at our company, and there's a great scene in the video where 3 of the 4 guys playing all lunge in the same direction. If you slow down the video, you can see the 4th guy slamming the ball as hard as he can, and then watching as it ricochets up into the air off of the backboard. ...good times.

Can somebody explain to me why You Tube links are a problem? Would you prefer a link to a WMV or Quicktime file? I don't get it.

If this is legal than aerial goaltending should be legal too. As in, catch the ball in the air and throw it at the guy. But it is a neat trick. Set the ball on fire and call Letterman.

Ahh, memories of university. Things got surprisingly heated back then. The trick in the video is tricky, but not that hard if you keep trying on a tornado table. The german term is Fußball, not foosball. Actually, everyone here calls it "kicker". They only call real Fußball Fußball. And, ß is still optionally valid after long vowels :).
