Nike this weekend

Nike this weekend will unveil a new 50-second commercial. The first 30 seconds will appear in a TV commercial before Saturday's Dolphins-Jaguars game. The second 20 seconds will be available at the Web site. The ad was created by Wieden & Kennedy of Portland.

Can you imagine tens-to-hundreds of thousands of visitors trying to download video simultaneously? Talk about your server slowdowns. I bet this makes slashdotting a site look tame in comparison.

As expected, some TV networks don't like the wording at the end of the TV commercial... So instead of "continued at whatever.nike.com", two TV networks prodded Nike to change it to just "whatever.nike.com". (click)

Strange. I saw it on Fox today and it had the full "continued at ..."

CBS indeed isn't running the "Continued at ..." Bastards. I can't believe Nike would capitulate like that. It defeats the whole purpose.
