What's That? Sadly, the education of the youth of amerika is declining in more than one way. The other day I was at Metafilter and the admin was unable to identify a soon to be ridiculous thread. Too late. I've already arranged post number 50,000.

It will consist solely of one inline, hotlinked jpeg of a pissing elephant posted directly to the front page with absolutely no comments, description, links or text of any kind. Yes, heavy bribery was involved, as was a big screen TV and a not-to-be-spoken-of amount of angry gay sex.

The thread will consist of the mother of all political arguments and flamewars, the worst of newsfilter and a smattering of often-seen Google video links. The thread will result in a pre-deterimined number of casualities and flame outs. Later there will be refreshments featuring favorite animated gifs, served in casual a stand up buffet setting. BYOB.

I wasn't going to say anything, but if your user ID number is prime, I'd avoid post number 50k at all costs. Your life and limbs aren't worth it. You're simply all tasty meat snacks in the eyes of the supreme greatness that is to come.

That's because this isn't actually post number 50,000. You can determine the actual thread ID number by subtracting all deleted thread IDs from the total number of posts, adding up the remaining posts and subtracting that sum from 50,000.

Pre-cognition skills may be required to accurately calculate future deleted posts for the tally.

If anyone cares: the robotic pancake bunny is attached to the chassis of a Pz 38t, manufactured at the Skoda works in Czechoslovakia.

The Czechs were well-armed with modern armour prior to the invasion of the Sudetenland, and would have given the Germans a good run for their money if they hadn't been sold out at Munich.

Their tanks and factories were a real boon to the German rearmament prior to WW2 - the 35t and 38t chassis were used for production of the Pz III, as well as a number of SP guns and variants.

In Polish "Skoda" (with an initial "sh" sound) means "too bad", leading to puns about the misfortune of people buying Czech vehicles.

That is all.
