And on which night will these smaller replicants be mysteriously activated, when all are asleep, puposed to murder or inhabit us; sliding, serpentine, into our ears and noses; the fatalities discarded as the weaker chaff; survivors' lives directed by the "master's" commands; humanity set one against another across the divides of merchandising and child-rearing?
