DotComGuy leaves house; world fails to care. For those who weren't paying attention to this, The Story Of The Year, some schmuck renamed himself DotComGuy, moved into a house, and lived off e-tailers for an entire year to prove that the Internet helps commerce. Or something. The experiment proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, nothing.

I've been living in my office Mostly for about 5 years....so i never really thought the dotcomguy was a big deal.

I remember reading about this a while back. You're quite correct - it proved absolutely nothing that we didn't already know.

MSN launched a commercial with a similar storyline as well I believe?

well, if you were waiting to buy a dotcomguy sweatshirt or chamois, now's the time! i'm sure the merchandise is headed for a jersey landfill in a week...
