You know, it seems like the cost vs. benifit ratio, in this case the effort to make it vs. the chance of it being seen, is ludicrously high. There's something sinister going on here. Is it meant for traffic helicopters? Does a network pay for that?

that is the kind of thing that fills me with hope for humanity. not because it's oprah, but because someone took the time to express appreciation for someone that can literally be seen from space. (maybe not very high up, but from space nonetheless... I hope.)

These things are often done as Corn Mazes. There was a Napolean Dynamite near where I live in a field not too long ago. They're easily done with a tractor and GPS.

If I was doing that, I think I could rustle up the courage to make a self-link on one of the Google Maps blogs. I can't draw with a pencil though, I suspect I'd struggle with a tractor too.

Yes, definitely the same thing as Ye Olde GoogleSightseeing.com, which is almost as old as Google Maps itself.
