I don't think everyone agreed that six was too late. Most of us expressed discomfort, but I was impressed by the openmindedness too, by mostly everyone who responded.

Even the AAP doesn't put an upper limit on the age of breastfeeding these days. And many moms breastfeed until five, six, or beyond. It's just that they don't talk about it in public in the current American culture.
