Looking for data on how well or badly things are going in Iraq? Brookings' Iraq Index Project tracks coalition and police fatalities, car bombings, kidnappings, attacks on oil and gas pipelines, oil revenue, availability of electricity, public opinion surveys, and more. Latest report (PDF).

haha, I like the default-styled excel graphs they're using. The new version of excel will have some nice graphics additions and better looking charts, after like 15 years of their lovely 16 color charts...

Ahhh yes, so the next time I read this report the 31.6% IED Cause Of Death will really stand out! Looks like it's a bad time to bea white male, younger than 22 in the Army.

Posted twice already unfortunately, but an excellent report that I frequent. I don't mind seeing it posted again. One of the few updated reports with stats that are as close to unbiased as verifiably possible.

I would say leave it up, it didn't get a lot of attention the last times it was posted, and there have been many new members since last summer. It is more of a resource than discussion fodder, and it's been updated many times since last August.
