I notice that most of these "cooking" methods involve little more than changing the physical form of the peeps. Not surprising, since peeps are very nearly chemically inert.

I've never thought of cooking them, I usually just eat them 'raw'. But not before I stab them with something pointy. Stab, stab, stab!

Peeps are fun to put in the microwave. Just don't expect me come over and clean up the mess. Still, it's fun watching them explode.

Apparently, people stage jousting tournaments in the microwave. "One takes two Peeps, and licks the right-hand side of each until sticky. A toothpick is thereby adhered to each Peep, pointing forward like a jousting lance. The Peeps are then set in a microwave, squared off against one another, and heated up. As they expand, the toothpick lances thrust toward each opponent, and the winner is the one that does not pop and deflate. Ties (both fatal and harmless) are common."

I ate my first (and only) Peep a couple of years ago, after hearing much about them from my US friends. The nearest thing I can compare it with is a mouthful of shaving foam covered with sand. And it left a coating of I-don't-know-what-nor-do-I-want-to-know in my mouth. Vile.
