From the terribly written outrage link:
Over the decades, it served as a hat rack, conservation piece and wet-bathing-suit hanger at the family's lakefront vacation cottage.
(emphasis mine)
Conversation piece, maybe. But conservation piece, surely not.

It's the Toronto Sun. The various Sun papers are not exactly known as bastions of journalistic integrity and goodness. Their main feature is a picture of a half naked co-ed who just wants "to save the environment" and other such drivel. meh, I say. meh!

I signed it. But note that the petition is seeking to have Bob given back to the seller on the condition that he never attempt to sell it again. If it's such an heirloom, he shouldn't be selling it at all.

I sorta hate to admit this, but I wrote the "terribly written outrage link" on Saturday morning, when I had to fill in for the weekend editor on very little sleep ... and the "conservation piece" thing made me laugh.

Because the conservation police raided the guy's house, get it?

/ yeah, not funny. You try rewriting a stupid moose-head story on your alleged day off, after a screaming baby kept you up all night ....

Wow. A link to The Toronto Sun on the blue. Has the U of T Varsity paper not written about it yet? Or Trent's Albert?

You have mys ympathy on the lack of sleep due to screaming baby, kenlayne. Didn't mean to offend with the "terribly written" line, but your attacks on Canadian public servants made me a little grumpy.

(being that I'm a Canadian public servant, and all)
