I feel the same way about 'superbowl Sunday', lemonfridge -- tho I imagine the world cup frenzy is a bit more intense.

I am not entirely against the sports fiends -- football Sundays here are the very best beach days -- no crowds, no aggro bozos ... even Waikiki surf breaks are uncrowded.
