Samurai Kittens- 99% fun and hilarity watching little martial-artsified kittens die in horrifying ways, 1% ad for IFC's Samurai 7, an anime about Akiro Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. I don't normally go for this stuff, but all ya gotta do is mash a few buttons, and even I got to see all 9 "Furtalities" and enter the drawing for a dvd box set. Check out the fake ads, I won't spoil them for ya.

NSFW if you work at PETA. Also small children might be traumatized, it's pretty visceral and bloody death depicted here. (Which makes it even better since it's paired with the cuteness of kittens).

Cute (?) and really slick animation and detail, but painfully lacking in the fight mechanics department. If you're really interested in seeing all the fatalities, I won every fight in four moves by holding the right arrow key and selecting the middle level attack.

Love the music, love the sense of humor, love the details, hate hate hate the poorly done fighting.

I guess that's to be expected (this is a flashvertisement that needs to appeal to the broadest possible audience, including people who don't know how to play fighting games), but if only this had had some kind of decent gameplay it would've been up there with Alien Hominid as one of the best Flash games evar.

reminded me of samurai pizza cats, but with more gore. i hadn't thought about that cartoon in AGES.
