I bought the ... Men of Nelson ... CD and can vouch for it. If you like the samples on the site, you'll dig the whole release. Nice packaging, too. The Harvey Girls are here, and they're excellent. Also, I'm still hosting 3 gloriously terrific unreleased tracks by MeFite Fake. Get 'em here. The album is so good I gave serious thought to starting a label to release it. One of the best 5 albums I heard in 2005.

Given the number of bands i'm in/have been in and all the session work I've done I've lost track of all the albums I've had my hands in. Must be several score. Would me making a site collecting them be a bad idea? I would want to do streaming/downloadable content. Illegal (as I don't own the copyright on most of the work, you know, session player)? I would just want to have it around for part vanity, part resume reasons. I suppose it all starts by getting permission.

Actually, we're here. We just spent a weekend playing shows with another MeFi-connected band, The Notes and Scratches (via verysleeping; also see his MeFi project, Muted Tones). They are truly amazing live performers and fantastic people. They're based in Chicago, so if you're there, make a point of seeing them; they're also on tour in July, hitting a bunch of east coast cities (and Toronto). Go see them if they make it to your town if you happen to enjoy sustained bouts of happy ass shaking!
