I don’t think I can top: baby, baby, BABY spare ribs!

Moo & Oink's surreal commercials were perhaps the best part of my childhood insomnia. Whatever the new jingle is, I hope it incorporates a rapping butcher.

Not responding - I think we killed it. What, they don't sell lamb - bah.

When I went to Moo and Oink (at 65th and Stony Island Boulevard), they had t-shirts for sale. These were white shirts with the Moo and Oink characters on them (cartoon cow and pig) and then the tagline for the store "Moo and Oink - All the Meat you Want to Eat!" Ok, whatever. But then I saw the boxershorts, with the same tagline, "all the meat you wanna eat" At that point I a) burst out laughing and b) tried to buy a pair. But the only sizes they had were XXL and XXXL. Crap.

This contest poses some challenges.

So, pick some now, pick it good
Pick some meat just like you should
Right now, pick it good
Pick some meat just like you should

Pick some chops, some flank
Pick some sirloin and some shank.

Apologies to Khia.

What?! Boink rhymes with oink, dude! Think of the possibilities!

Boink and doink are completely useless lyrics.

I fondly remember from my days at the Chicago Sun-Times the full-page, full-color Moo & Oink ads we always had! The art they ran tended to look like it was out of a parts catalog for a cow/pig/whathaveyou. I never went myself, but the store appeared to have everything -- from soup to, uh, nuts.

I'm starting to think there's a jangly, wistful guitarpop song somewhere in the phrase 'moo and oink'....

Desmond Dekker has a rhyme for oink.

Mooooo and Oooooink. I haven't heard it in years, and it's still in my head. I even remember the first time I saw it with my brothers. I was totally floored; it was so surreal. Why fix it?

Boink and doink are completely useless lyrics.

There's always yoink (assuming it is cromulent outside of Springfield).

Nice tagline, but they don't got nothing on the logo for Czech sausage company, Kostelecke Uzeniny
