Bush Was Right

I Guess Bush was right. I mean if The Right Brothers tell us that he was right, he must be right. too bad they ripped off Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire.

Wow I hadn't seen that before.

I'm going to go outside and punch the ground for at least an hour.

I heard the other day that Bush was, in fact, not right.

Wow, "The Illegals" is even better!

"Why do we allow the illegals? After all, they're illegal!"

Who can argue with that? I need to re-register!

Found at their MySpace.

Every time this gets posted here, I have a moment of fear where I think NoMeansNo and the Wright Brothers has finally stopped being awesome. Whew - another false alarm. Please to stop doing that to me.

Man, ever since Abramoff got nabbed, the Right's just become really low rent, huh?

I initally read those lyrics as satire and thought it was funny. Until I realized they're serious.

This would be funny with subversive visual overlay. Somebody hop to it.

Ann Coulter is a multimillionaire. We are in fact, that bad.

Hey, The Boy, did you just cram in all your other posts in today so you could post this? Why?

I like the lyric about democracy hitting the Middle East like a tidal wave.

Makes me wonder...what killed more people: the tsunami, or democracy hitting the Middle East?

They're really serious? This isn't an elaborate, badly done spoof?

PinkStainlessTail: Bad enough that there's a market for this? This song is dull, and the only people who will enjoy it are people like us who enjoy it on an ironic level. Even people who agree with the song will never listen to it, because it sucks. The song is preachy, the band is ugly, and the video is bland. There is no market outside of the mind of some Rove-wannabe Republican consultant.

Maybe if the band members were hot blondes or something the Right Brothers would have a snowballs's chance.

OK, so who do I send the repair bill to for my now completely broken irony meter? It's done dead. Kaput. Munged. Frotzed and fritzed. Needs aggressive recalibration and unit-testing.

It was fine up until I loaded that first video link. Then it just made a small, high-pitched whining noise right before explosively vaporizing in a manner not unlike a very small thermonuclear detonation - or, say, my poor exploding head.

Did it occur to anyone else that we probably actually paid for that propaganda carp with our tax dollars. Some sleazy arm of the Bush administration’s Central Casting division recruited these dorks, I’m thinking.

I’ll bet they paid them well, say equal the cost of a selling off and trashing few thousand acres of public land, or pissing away art’s funding. Now we know why we can’t have nice things for sure.

What's Ann Coulter got that these guys ain't got?
Aside, from, you know.

Seriously, I'm looking for a consistent theory that would explain why these people don't have a market and she does.
