Juventus Relagated?

It's possible. The team's board has resigned on the heels of a possible match-fixing scandal (or at least a ref-fixing scandal) during the 2004-2005 season. Other Serie A teams are implicated, as well. Juve is also being probed for bookeeping irregularities (well, it IS an Italian team... that sort of thing is expected).

Any team that pays £13.5m for Vieira when he's past it obviously has suspect management ....
Bet Paddy wishes he was still in London.

Oh here we go , lets discuss America , whens the guy going to turn up asking for an explanation of what 'soccer' is ?

The Italians are a rum lot , taking referees out for post match meals and so on , the refereeing at the Juventus V Celtic match many moons ago was obviously rigged and in the interests of fairness and decency Celtic should be awarded the Champions League trophy.

Other peoples opinions may differ slightly.

I'm surprised they call it "soccer" repeatedly in that article.

Surely the Italians should be prosecuting anyone behaving honestly instead of the other way round , isn't there some sort of European stereotype legislation to be upheld here ?

I agree entirely Sgt. Serenity. I too remember the dubious David Trezeguet penalty.

I doubt the Old Lady will face anything like relegation. They are simply too powerful to even merit it. A fairly high ranking scapegoat jailed is the likeliest outcome.

An entertaining Italian site is Juve eat shit if only to show how much they are loathed by other Italian fans. It may also be a contender for poorest designed webpage on the Tinternet.

Boy, things have definitely turned south for Juve since The Arsenal eliminated them from the Champion's League. I too doubt they'll be relegated, but this will probably spark a much needed shake up at the club.

Relegation is certainly a possibility. Milan were not considered too important to be relegated in 1980, after a match-fixing scandal.

Timely post seeing as how I'll be in Palermo next week.. It would be great to catch a match, but it looks like the offseason starts Monday :(

I still haven't come up with a reason why there were 6 minutes of added time at the end of the Stamford Bridge leg of the Champions League semi final against Liverpool last year.....
