Rove Indictment Imminent! TruthOut.org reports that Karl Rove has informed the President he will be indicted, and will resign. Too good to be true? Or FITZMAS EVE?

Didn't they also report 20 people would be indicted right before Libby, and only Libby, was indicted?

Wait and see on this.

As much as I would love to see Rove indicted, Truthout IS more than a tad biased. Don't pop the champagne cork yet.

it's not ther'sday, it's friday.

I have no idea how reliable truthout is, but, this is sort of a big claim. I guess we'll see.

Truthout is biased?!?! Don't tell me PoliSci teacher!

What did you say, Keswick?

You'll have to speak louder. I'm busy watching Amy Goodman's Democracy Now and I can't hear you well. LOL.

(and yes...I DO like Amy Goodman much of the time)

I don't want to see Rove indicted, I want to see him[ We know where you live. Love, the Department of Homeland Security ]and that's just for starts.

Not worth getting excited about. When the pictures of Rove being frogmarched come out, I will still refrain from gloating. During the trial when stunning revelations come out, I will keep my mouth shut. Indeed, until a guilty verdict comes down the pike, I will take nothing for granted. For, lo, I have been burned before and will not be so foolish again.

Pah, he's just going to be pardoned with the rest of the arch-criminals. You wanna see some actual brown pants? Get congress to remove the presidential pardon power before 2008. That's the ONLY way these assloads will get what they deserve. Anything short of that is just dogs and ponies like always.

Assuming the writer is the same "Jason Leopold" it looks like he's got a bit of drama following him...

A GNN investigation into the whole mess has revealed that Leopold has had trouble in the past producing verifiable sources. In the case of the White story, the source for the email at one point denied having spoken to Leopold, which Salon used as its pretext for withdrawing support for the story.

Yeah, this should probably be amended with a "wishfulthinking" tag. On the other hand, Friday is usually the day of choice for announcements that the administration doesn't want to make. We'll see.

This may be the first time that an indictment will actually boost the popularity of a president.

Awwww, poor Bushie is going to lose his crapulent Turd Blossom? I'd feel sorry for the guy if I didn't, you know, thoroughly hate him and everything he stands for.

Who's next on the list of soon-to-be-turned-into-prison-bitches? Or, more importantly, when's Bush or Cheney's turn?

Truthout may be jumping the gun but we all knew a Rove indictment was coming, it was just a matter of time. Tomorrow, next week or next month, Fitz will get his bitches.

Dramatic leaks like this might be an intentional calculation: the media starts speculating that a much larger event will happen so that, when the actual event occurs, the gap between what was expected and what actually takes place makes the result seem less important. The event is overshadowed by disappointment and embarassment that predictions were overblown. That's what I thought happened with the Libby indictment. The media had secret sources and were speculating wildly about what was about to come down; what actually came down seemed insignificant.

Rove and Co are masters of manipulating the media. If I were them, that's what I would do.

Perhaps this is the rumor that caused NPR to reasign their scheduled blogger for today.

It's too late today for any news, isn't it? Would they announce something like this on the weekend?

I'm skeptical.
