Caught on Tape: US cops torture US citizen
I know! News Filter, and Old news, but I guess it is relevant to all the torture and abuse being allowed to folks under the veil of authority.
"When Tennessee law enforcement officials showed up at the home of Lester Siler, who they suspected of drug use, they asked Lester's wife and son to leave. They didn't know that Lester's wife had turned on a tape recorder in the kitchen. "
Direct link to the Streaming MP3 (40 Mins till the tape ran out, the actual "visit" lasted two hours. And then we find out what unrestrained authority can and will do if allowed. Google "Lester Siler" for further local and blog coverage of this story.

indeed
Maybe if we MADE cops film themselves when they visit.
On pain of forfitting the arrest or getting arrested them selves
But alas I dont have an answer other than prison for these fellows

Police should be required to record everything they do (audio and video) as a matter of course.

"...until you sign that form, its fixin to get ugly, because them batteries right there, I'm fixin to go out there and get some wires and hook 'em up to your fuckin balls. And if you don't think I will, you don't sign that form and watch what happens. So you best git signing."
and
"Eugene, let me tell ya how this is gonna work, ok? We got here and guess what you did? You ran out the back door. We chased you ok? You fought with us, ok? We end up fighting with you. You 'bout whupped all our asses, so we had to fight back, ok?"
Personally, I've seen enough cases where 120 lb. weaklings "bout whupped" two or three 220 lb. cops to last a lifetime.

It's one thing to see abuse, but when all you can do is hear it...that's something else. Maybe it's because our imagination has to kick into play, but it makes an ugly scene simply harrowing. No excuse for those cops.
