Goddamn that LA Weekly piece is shittly written*:

"We’re outside, in public, lounging with coffee on Colbert Sunday, the day after Stephen Colbert’s bukkake-ing of President Bush..."

"I Do Not Think It Means What He Thinks That Means; or, Always Remember To Limber Up Before Stretching For Those Porno References**; or, I Get Paid, By, The Comma!" would probably be a better title than "The Beaver Trap," methinks.

*Though the actual story is pretty interesting. And getting that master of sweat and loathing, Dan Clowes, to do the cover was a great idea.

**Colbert clearly administered a Donkey Punch.

I think this is a very boring guy who had a boring job that he got let go from, and now he's writing a "tell all" to make his life seem interesting.

You could say the same thing about Proust.

I'm generally fascinated by the utter "boringness" of porn, if that makes any sense. I think the book sounds interesting. And I didn't realize the Dan Livingston thing was an incredible bluff.

I tend to find the actual thing itself boring, but the subculture around it fascinating.

The book sounds great. I'll buy a copy for sure.

And surely that was a Dirty Sanchez that Colbert gave to Bush?
