eh, I'm not hugely impressed. It's just another music video.
Although it is an improvement on the Wolfmother clip, most Wolfmother clips being a bit of a snooze (Mind's Eye was terrible).
That started out pretty entertaining, but when the wangs started showing up I lost interest. posted by majick at 8:23 AM on June 9, 2006
subtle?
It was funny, but could have been better executed... I guess I like my 4 minute clips to have a tiny bit more continuity to them, so the constant changing of band members into different personas (pirate/rabbit/minuteman/freckleboy) kind of bothered me.... if the creator had felt that this project was important enough to plan out what he was going to draw and how it would all tie in, rather than doodling like a high-schooler in History class, it would have turned out better.
Then again, it's apparent that I'm not on the same drugs that the people in the clip are on, and it seems that the people in the clip are the intended audience OF the clip, so take my comments with a tab of... puff of... shake of salt. posted by hatsix at 8:35 AM on June 9, 2006
I really liked the way the boat goes behind the person's head around 3:25. posted by Hal Mumkin at 8:39 AM on June 9, 2006
And incidentally, perhaps part of the charm is precisely because it looks like a high-schooler's doodling in history class. posted by Hal Mumkin at 8:41 AM on June 9, 2006
I loved the sea monster. posted by Peter H at 8:43 AM on June 9, 2006
I'm liking how popular "wolf" is as part of a band name these days, but that's about all I liked from the Wolf er, -mother clip.
