The staff of The Impulsive Buy are not experts, but they do like to try anything that has any of the following words on the product: new, improved, new and improved, better tasting, reconditioned, less fat, fat-free, best-selling, less calories, reduced for quick sale, limited edition, free toy, 50% off, or now with Olestra!

My God, does the writing have to be so gratingly annying? Makes it really hard to pay attention.

<Insert generic "I'm too hip for that link" snark here>

Fun site, I like it.

fun, yes, but fun in the way bad tv is fun: annoying. cring-inducing at times. and yet.... oddly compelling

Skylar lamp review: +20 points for giving me a good laugh and refresher course on how to talk dirty, should i ever lure a lady back for coffee ever again.

Jockey Next to Nothing Thong/Wearing a Thong review: -5 for reminding me of the #1 way to piss me off as highschool newspaper editor with your pseudo-journalissimo wit.

overall: +15 [helm of disintegrating standards]

Too "clever" by half. The guy from x-entertainment does this much, much better.

Agreed. I like the idea of this site in general, but the guy tries WAY too hard to be clever and witty, and more often than not makes reading the content really annoying...especially considering that 90% of the time, he somehow finds a way to fold in icky sexual undertones to it that are more disturbing than funny.

McSweeney's Recommends is much better.

Wierd thing is this guy lives about 4 blocks away from me in Honolulu.
