Sounds a lot like Cool Hunting ('Cool Hunting: finding things in the intersection of design, culture and technology that excite the imagination and inspire creativity'). Quick, huntforcool.com is still available! posted by hangashore at 10:02 AM on June 24, 2006
This site is okay, but, yeah, it is a little too similar to the Josh Rubin site that hangashore mentioned. And it features Cirque du Soleil, which is just.... just HORRIBLE. posted by bunglin jones at 10:10 AM on June 24, 2006
The format is familiar, but I thought the content was unusual enough to make it worthwhile.
I suppose I will plead guilty to being easily impressed. My apologies. posted by Sibrax at 10:31 AM on June 24, 2006

Yay me.
I don't own an Ipod or a Mac laptop. There went about half the posts.
Musicwise? I know to listen there to determine I won't like it.
I could go on, but my lack of coolness must be blitheringly apparent at this point... posted by Samizdata at 1:23 PM on June 24, 2006

Uncrate and it's "sister" site Outblush do this as well, although they're exclusively consumer-oriented. posted by joseph_elmhurst at 4:00 PM on June 24, 2006
Sibrax, Loved the site. It's fun looking at new trendy stuff, new designs. I enjoyed it. Thanks. :) posted by nickyskye at 5:22 PM on June 24, 2006
I notice that every site has started to look like old winamp skins. Gradients, little "rivets" and stuff.
Call me old fashion but I still prefer content to drop shadows...
This site has the same new "cool" stuff that every other "look at me" site has/had.
Nice looking and all, but hardly any different than a lot of other stuff already on the web. posted by stilgar at 8:00 PM on June 24, 2006
I think it's pretty neat, but admittedly, I don't get out much. posted by grapefruitmoon at 8:45 PM on June 24, 2006
I read one post and found it contains a lot of rubbish. The PINEL & PINEL - LUX BIKE isn't a bike available in 51 colors but just a ($6000!) suitcase for a regular Brompton folding bike. They can't even read the original site. posted by kika at 7:39 AM on June 25, 2006

Read the P&P site again - the trunk comes with a bike. posted by Fidel Cashflow at 9:47 AM on June 25, 2006

Artsyness for the 'good design Ipod fetishist " Benetton types.
