It does seem familiar...

Really? I've been away so I might have missed it. I did a search and came up with nothing but if it's a double I do apologize.

No, I saw it on mathowie's blog, I think. It still may have been an FPP, of course.

It was posted (as noted) to Projects a week ago, but did it hit the blue?

I don't read projects, and I definitely saw it here. Too lazy to actually search it out, but there you go.

It wasn't posted before. Glad to see the site is still going.

Perhaps I am sniffing glue, if so forgive my disruption. But I'll say the same thing I said last time: interesting concept, meh execution.

interesting concept, meh execution.

It's quite the opposite for me. I clicked the link afraid it would be kind of crappy, but was pleasantly surprised.

I would just like to point out that I disapprove of the word "remixing" being used in this context -- it sounds daft and pretentious. These are comics with the words changed, that's all.

Meatbomb, you said that about the anti-father's day cards. Maybe you just say that a lot.

So mathowie gets a takedown notice from Our Corporate Masters for fandando_matt's remixes, but this blog carries on?

Hmmm.

It's my M.O.

I believe these are much better and I think they are part of the Dysfunctional Family Circus, which got so popular Bil Keane personally asked the creator to take them down. Mad Magazine used to do this sort of thing pretty often too. They're not online though...

That's awesome, jantastic. Evidently I'm a buxom brunette babe. Good to know!

I should have said before, I dig the site.

If by "brunette" you mean "black with electric-blue highlights."
posted by jantastic at 6:04 PM on July 2, 2006

That's not consistently alliterative. For my taste anyway.

That's not consistently alliterative.

Well, it's spelled "buxom black with electric-blue highlights babe", but it's pronounced "boxom black bith belectric-blue bighlights babe", so as long as you read it out loud, there's no problem.

I am reminded of the enjoyably evil Fred Basset Upfucked.
