How predictable is the "it's so booooooooooorrrrrrrrrinnggggg" comment? If it bores you, move along. I think the comments over at cnet are a great reason why MeFi kicks ass (or as Wesley Willis would say, "whoops a llama's ass with a belt").

Someone wake me when we have either teleporters, antigrav belts, a reproduction of the Philadelphia Experiment or a pill that treats Dumbya's linguistic affliction. I'm not really seeing how a powered scooter, which we've had for ages, is going to have any socioeconomic impact.

Check out Wired According to them the real invention is the engine - "an energy saving, environmentally friendly Stirling engine." I don't think it's exactly what "3Com's Bob Metcalfe, who described IT as "almost as big as cold fusion would have been.", but, hey, that's just me.
