Call the Future let's you send a phone message in the future. It sounds scary, but it could be useful for reminders. Or for pranks. The site creator's own prank was not that great, though.

Also, I meant "it sounds scary" literally: the sound of the computer voice reading your text is scary. Not so much the functionality of sending messages in the future. I just realized it could be interpreted both ways...

Anybody have any idea why the phone number you call can't start with a 9? My area code growing up started with 9, so it's not like it's invalid (as I'm pretty sure 1 would be).

It's a ten digit number, need to start with 1. Huh? Ten-digit number = area code (3) + local exchange (3) + individual line (4). No area codes start with 1 (IIRC), but some start with 9. According to the site, you don't need to add the US's international code (1) at the beginning of the number.
