Huh. I thought it was going to be actual footage of them playing or something.

In retrospect, I should have known this was coming. Heck, I should have MADE this, being the huge, Shaggs' uh, "fan," I guess, that I am. This is horrible/great!

HA! TheStorm you are funny. This is great. I am out of pronouncements. Good bye.

Oh, they were doing a good thing by never showing Helen with her sisters, until they put them together for a few seconds there. I thought it was an acknowledgement that the drums for almost all Shaggs songs sound like they were recorded for some completely unrelated song. Oh well.

I think the skills of both the Flash artist and the Shaggs are a great fit -- perfect!

(Gotta love the CLARKAGREEN tag at the end ;-)

ahhh...the shaggs. new hampshire's second "greatest" musical export, after g.g. allin, of course.

Agreed, diastematic. The only improvement I can think of would be a little cgi twinkle passing over the CLARKAGREEN logo.

Ah, the shaggs. They were marvelous weren't they?

In other news, I'm pretty sure the emperor has no clothes.

Oh, fer cryin' out loud, rxrfrx. Now it's "your favorite band that sucks, uh, sucks"? It's called "fun." Have some today!

suki, you forgot the Queers. Or maybe you didn't.

The Shaggs' unaffected and genuinely primitive expressive genius deserves far better visual interpretation/accompaniment than this bit of faux primitive flashimation.

There does exist 8mm footage of the Shaggs performing, I have it on good authority.

Irwin Chusid has it, and is apparantly guarding it with his life.

I really, really love the Shaggs. I just can't believe what I'm hearing every single time I listen to them....

(I'd say it makes me proud to be from New Hampshire, but I've yet to find the drug and/or injury to my skull that does that)

What the Shaggs were doing was totally "wrong" but super awesome, and, lets be honest, almost impossible to do as well as they did it.

It's pretty close to what Beefheart got his musicians to do, but he had to deny them sleep & food & totally boss them around like a svengali drill seargent to get that kind of falling-down-the-stairs thing going.

I'm always impressed when I hear them. To have such an absurd conception of music, to be so naive as to believe it could be popular, and to practice it enough that you can do it as well as they did is just inspirational.
