I sent SuperDog up to one of the areas and left him there to answer the phone. When I came back, he was pissing on a fire hydrant.

Unfortunately, I tried to listen to their one MP3 to see if I agreed with the Spin review, but it's a broken link.

The Format was on a Mefiswap CD I got from someone way back when. I loved them. It inspired me to buy an album.

I see the flying dogs, but the indie pop remains elusive.

Well, I only ready the first few sentences of the reviews from Spin, All Music Guide and the LA Times and they mentioned indie-pop and pop more than six times. So, perhaps you're not looking hard enough?

Mr. National: Surely I could dig up an infinite supply of sentences containing the words "indie pop." But I still can't hear it, man, in my ears, I gotta HEAR it. Otherwise all we got is a fancy website with some pixelated hippies.

Broken links lead to broken hearts.

Agreed.

aww come on guys - you didn't look hard enough... all the cool bands have myspace pages. that's where they hide their MP3s.

I'm pretty sure I sent you that CD, Plutor. Anyway, the format of their site looks just like a flash doober that was linked here way back.

I had to review their album, so their songs will be tatooed on my brain for a while. It's not my cup of tea, but they do indie pop well. If "relentlessly sunny" appeals to you, you should dig them.
They have a weird 70's-bubblegum-Partridge Family vibe going on. If you can enjoy lyrics like "I love being in love" sung without a stitch of irony, then this should be your favorite album of the summer

Reminds me of Superchunk with koooky Cars-like keyboards. Not bad. Great website though, wow.
