It's only really making fun of bad artists, or rather, showing how much more skill the people on one forum have than on another. (And, as Robot Johnny pointed out, they don't always have more skill.)

The people on the eatpoo forums appear to be at least as nerdy as the people on Elfwood. They're just more highly skilled.

Why does Metafilter always have make fun of people? I hate that it's cool to make fun of furries.

Wolfdog: I figured that was the case. At any rate, it's floating around a lot in various corners of the Internet (I've seen it in 3-4 places with no mention of context), so I can assure you that many, many people had no idea that there was good intent behind what is an (unintentionally) fucking hilarious picture.

Though the "eat poo" url, and the references to furries (read: perverts) are good hints. Even before my morning coffee I don't think I'd click on that thing.

For furry bashing you can't beat Something Awful. They are pros. And furry bashing is cool, even though deep down you suspect it's kind of mean. It just feels so right.

I like to think that God sets a bit of time aside every week to see highlights of "furries, suburban swingers, vampires, BBW-lovers, BDSM folk" and the like, and he gets a kick out of it. Sincerely laughs out loud a lot. It's like His equivalent of really bad TV. Like how you might secretly enjoy America's Funniest Videos or Fear Factor, but you don't wanna tell anybody cuz they'll laugh.

My God isn't vengeful. He just has a sick sense of humor. YMMV.
