You suck, AspectRatio.
I enjoyed this, although the voices were really, really uneven.

Seriously, fuck the fuck off, AspectRatio.

Somebody bring me the head of AspectRatio
it'll be worth $30 bucks to ya.

oh, and Aspect, take this test and tell us the results.

Wow, I never knew there was such a big problem with the "via's." I always assumed they were a neutral statement, but I guess the "wait wait this isn't original wtf" sentiment is built in... I'd completely missed that. Huh.

Funny short. Does anyone know how old it is? It's probably recent, but just wondering.

This sort of "rhymes" in my head with jonson's link to a disturbing Casper parody.

I would have killed Charlie no problem, I don't trust anyone with such a huge head!

Yup.
That's a student film, all right.

Reminds me of the sunday comics parody that Nation Lampoon did a long time ago- which was much funnier.

The gang beats Charlie Brown to a pulp and takes off. Lucy doubles back and says to Charlie Brown, "Well? Aren't you going to say something funny yet sadly poignant?"

®@: 1986. Thanks kirkaracha.

Reminds me of course a bit of Bambi Meets Godzilla from 1969. Note the homage by including Godzilla here. Took a look at how well that particular gem has aged over 37 years (!) Its just as poor a quality and just as concise in delivery. Classic.

Then by chance I found this: "Son of Bambi Meets Godzilla" and can't decide if this is a) how lazy we've become since personal computers became an affordable alternative to film or b) how bad iFilm has sunk to even show that dreck.

The annoying part is when it's not even the original source.

That, frankly, is going to give me nightmares.

I saw it twenty years ago.

But...it's got a Terminator reference. How can it be twenty years old? Wait, don't tell me. And stay off my lawn!

Uh, and in a comment, I see. But not posted.

AspectRatio was inaccurate, just like the MetaTalk thread says.

Saw this back in the 80's. It was part of a Cal-Arts student reel. That place was just starting to ride the animation-renaissance wave that was building back then. Some pretty impressive talent came out of there.

Because The Terminator is now twenty-two years old?

Just sayin'.

I remember from a Simpsons DVD commentary them saying they hired one of their early animation directors based on his creation of this short. I don't remember who it was though. So yeah, it's old.

Wow.

Yeah, just saying... if you're going to post something because you saw it somewhere else, might as well source it.

As for isopraxis, jonson, boo_radley... get a hobby. That much hate for something like that? Slowly back away from your keyboard, go rub one out, then come back when you're a bit more calm.
