Pac Xon

FFF: Pac Xon is like Qix, only with graphics from Pac Man, and the red ghosts eat your territory, and the popsicles freeze the ghosts. So maybe it's not so much like Qix, but it's similarly addictive. [via]

That was fun! Maybe a little too easy, but fun.

That is a good game - nice mashup, well executed, and fun.

The original publisher's site is here, for what it's worth. Minijuegos.com tends to steal Flash games. Some publishers don't mind, some do.

Awesome. Clever idea.

That was fun - I enjoye the original Qix game, and this is a nicely done mashup.

Doh. I didn't realize that wasn't the original publisher. Unfortunately I can't change the link now, but thanks for the note, ae4rv.

Actually, the original publisher's site is not as responsive as the link you posted, and it has way more ads. I've been poking around, however, and they have some nice little games there - try this one.

I don't like what happens when you split the ghosts. it should kill the one of them when the area fills up.

Brilliant, Qix is one of my favourite gameboy games ever.

Nice...in some small way it reminded me of the ancient Japanese board game of Go.

empath: it does the same thing as qix!

aubilenon, in Qix splitting the helixes would end the level immediately with a bonus. That's not what I'm seeing here. (But then again, I'm not getting any sound, so maybe yours is playing differently)

Sorry to play curmudgeon here, but I'm not too fond of this one:
1. The game kills you if you backtrack on a line. You can kill yourself in a split second this way. It should just disallow this move.
2. The Pac-Man theme just doesn't fit: none of the monsters actually chase the player, and the only things eaten are the infrequently-appearing powerups.
3. The instructions say 75% territory is required to pass a level, but the game actually demands 80%.
4. Splitting ghosts does nothing.
5. When the player dies, there is absolutely no grace period at the start of the next life, sometimes resulting in the lost of more than one life from a single mistake.
6. After red ghosts are introduced, all the levels are mixtures of previous enemies, and the game gets boring fast.

7. Somewhere around level 20, there's a few empty levels, which fill to 100% after any line is drawn, and then the game starts over with a score of "NaN."

Oh well.

it's really hard to do this and play online poker at the same time.

Eh, I think it makes the game more fun. Like how nintendo comes up with all sorts of games based on their mario characters.
