I've seen a couple of lyrebirds in the Cathedral ranges - about 150ks north-east of Melbourne. The last one I saw was running through a cycle of calls which included a car alarm and a motor drive camera. Impressive at the David Attenborough video is, it ain't a patch on the real thing!
