It really isn't a commentary on airline security like they claim. Security failed because they got a boarding call for a joke name? Not so much. It was a funny joke though.

Keep in mind that these are the same people who once accompanied a story about Michael Jackson's latest plastic surgery with footage of a gorilla being strapped onto a surgical table. the australians are not serious about the holy war on terror these guys sure are. after the mission was accomplished in iraq, they did a vox pop on american streets: "so, should we attack syria or north korea next?" american: "north korea!" [chaser guy holds up map of world, with australia marked as north korea] "and can you point out north korea on this map?" "sure. hey, i never realized it was so much bigger than south korea!" [gestures towards tasmania]

I was just introduced to this show by a link to a recent one where one of the guys went to a televised award cermony and tried to get airtime in the background as many times as possible. Pretty funny stuff.

It really isn't a commentary on airline security like they claim. Security failed because they got a boarding call for a joke name? It is a security failure. Their point is that you can get a boarding pass for a domestic flight without ever having to show any form of ID. That means that all of the 'do not fly' and other watch lists that are suposedly being kept are a pointless exercise. Once you have a boarding pass for a domestic flight in Australia you have access to the plane, there are no other identity checks. That's what's scary.
