This iGallop, it vibrates? While at National Airport this weekend, I noticed several women enjoying an odd-looking exercise device at Brookstone. Apparently, I'm not the first to imagine what else it could be used for (Google search).

That ad was HAWT. I would maybe keep MrsMoonPie away from your MeFi account for a few days if you want to avoid awkward questions.

Wow. People were doing that in public? Sweet.

That was, indeed, one of the more remarkable aspects of the sighting, yes. The, um, unit was right near the front of the store, and was being ridden rather enthusiastically by a 60-year-old woman (yes, with a sweet smile on her face).

Well, 60 year-olds deserve FUN, FUN, FUN too, y'know...

I could probably shake up a can of pepsi blue pretty well with that thing - as an alternative use...

I wonder if they do a French maid version.

Are they trying to corner the niche market of people too cheap to buy a Sybian?

The ad actually manages to make the product look fun unlike most ads pruproting to promote execise machines.

Wha--what happened? The last thing I saw was this fit chinese woman gyrating on a yellow cushion. Next thing I know I'm flat on my back in my home office with a metallic taste in my mouth, my credit card in my hand, and a receipt screen for something called an iGallop.

If it is what I think it is, it's replacing both the television in the living room and anything my fiancee wants to sit on that isn't an iGallop.

If you watch that ad closely, you can see a guy using it.

I remember reading a story in my highschool english class about a woman who didn't need men, she could just ride horses.

I think I was the only one who got it.

Oh, and I rode one of these in a home electronics store and it was pretty boring.

Probably because I'm a guy.

You'd be wanting the concave version, not the standard convex one.

Nah, You gotta look cool when you masturbate in public.

Hmm... I think I saw this thing on the internet late, late last night

Osama bin Laden writes "If you watch that ad closely, you can see a guy using it."

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

So is this an actual "exercise device" or just a less-embarassing-to-have-in-your-living-room version of the Sybian?
posted by clevershark at 6:11 PM on August 21, 2006

"less-embarassing"???? Tell us about your living room.
posted by johngumbo at 6:34 PM on August 21, 2006

It sounds like a great idea -- you'll have women lining up around the block to come to your house! The downside is, they're not there to see you.

Thanks, jeffburdges! Now I'm imagining middle-aged hog riders utilizing the Vibe-Rider and, well, you can fill in the rest.

We live in the future.

..burning coal and oil to run it. Imagine a different future, and you'll see we are living in the past.

This future can be fueled by the blood of kittens so long as I get to watch smiling women gyrate on iGallops. No price is too high!
