Snap Shirts

Snap Shirts will create a word cloud from the most-frequently-used words on a web page and then you can order it printed on a t-shirt. (via iwilldare)
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

Is this something you would have to not hate word clouds to enjoy?

I thought it was kind of cool for the old "cult" threads.

billysumday, I used to have one of those when I was in high school, and my then-girlfriend (now wife) used to love to grab it at the top and pop all the snaps open at once.
(So did this other chick, though, and that's why I don't get to have snap-shirts any more)

OKay, I don't why I was having so much fun with that, but I'm seriously thinking of getting one for time cube. (where the cloud really does sum up the argument - "academia academic... stupid students") Also, the cloud for zombo.com is sublime.

Navelgazer, you're dead on about Time Cube. That makes a great shirt.

Yes! I've been looking long and hard for a way to fully Web 2.0-out my entire existence and all I was missing was Web 2.0 on my chest. My life is complete!

mr_crash_davis... I'm not seeing what your problem is or why you stopped wearing them. Women like to rip your shirts off.
Let me think.
Yeah.
Still not seeing the problem.

It only has stop words in English.
Therefore it's useless.
Therefore it doesn't exist.

Well you know the word cloud for this thread has got to be good.
And to be perfectly honest, my first thought was cheap advertising. I have a design business that's advertised almost entirely online. A wordcloud shirt would make an interesting advertising/promotional gimmick.

I gave it a direct link to the Gutenberg edition of Three Men in a Boat (to say nothing of the dog), and was mildly surprised (I thought "dog" occurred more often than "Montmorency"). If you want to try it yourself: http://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/etext95/3boat10.txt.

My mom's friend did that to her back in high school.
Apparently it's the path to popularity.
