For uncouth characters, Yosemite Sam has to be one of my all time favourites.

I always think of his Warner Brothers work, but I totally forgot he directed those early Pink Panther cartoons. "The Pink Phink" was a fave of mine as a kid, but I never knew it won an oscar and was the first Pink Panther short (after the Pink Panter movie credits).

And of course, props to the great Carl Stalling. It's hard to imagine the cartoons without his music.

I gotta say, High Diving Hare is among my favorite shorts. The gag at the end cracks me up every time. Yosemite Sam rules.
