Great story—thanks for the post!

I love this: "The stenographer nearly had a nervous breakdown transcribing Boop-a-Doops and Bou-Bou-Ba-Ba-Bou’s."

(She definitely got robbed: that judge wuz bought, dammit!)

I love this story, and it turns out I've been listening to some of Kane's songs lately and didn't know it.

I've always detested Betty Boop though, because of her freakish head that is apparently undergoing cellular mitosis before our very eyes.

FYI, the image linked to by hermitosis above is the work of Michael Paulus, and can be found as part of this gallery.

I have a collection of original Helen Kane sheet music framed in my stairway. I'm glad she's not totally forgotten.
