is my favourite work by Japanese-Canadian artist Yuka Yamaguchi. She has a way of making flayed flesh disturbingly
cute. [mildly nsfw]

Non-sexual nature? Hmm. Isn't a big chunk of the appeal of this kind of stuff the fact that it sits at the intersection of Creepy, Bloody, Innocent and Sexual? I like it myself, but the last thing I'd call it is "non-sexual."

Anyway, if you're showing us naked tits, cartoon or not, go ahead and warn folks who are browsing at work.

People who enjoy this soul-damning garbage need psychological help and must promptly repent and change, giving their lives to Jesus Christ, or else this awfulness will hang around their neck like a millstone at their final judgement.

They will “stand with shame and awful guilt before the bar of God” (Jacob 6:9), have “an awful view of their own guilt and abominations” (Mosiah 3:25) and will have “a lively sense of … guilt, and pain, and anguish, which is like an unquenchable fire, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever” (Mosiah 2:38).

Are you people worried about the nipples serious??

So, a young, smiling girl, cheerfully knitting away the flayed muscles of her leg...but wearing a brassiere....this is fine, yes?

RJ, I notice all of your biblical quotes are completely context free. You could have used the same post in a thread about the merits of Cheez-Whiz and it would have made as much sense.

This stuff is just tired and cliché, and not especially soul-damning at all.

If you want to have “an awful view of [your] own guilt and abominations” and “a lively sense of … guilt, and pain, and anguish, which is like an unquenchable [tumescence], whose [phallus] ascendeth up forever and ever”, you're going to have to look outside The Book of Mormon, and into the depths of hell: the グロ imageboard on 2chan

This whole NSFW thing is kind of overblown, and here is just a banal example. I mean, it's work, and you probably, in the eyez of your employers, shouldn't be looking at ANY - nippley, tubgirly or otherwise- recreational websites while you're at work.
If we were good, dilligent, ethical employees, nothing on Metafilter would be SFW - though I'm perhaps as guilty as anyone of transgressing this. I do rue the fact that Metafilter is blue, instead of AutoCad black.

Someone always says this, as if there's no reason for the NSFW label at all. But it ignores the fact that different workplaces have different policies about casual Web browsing on the clock, so it's simply courteous to label a post that's got nudity to help folks in those different workplaces judge the risk. Please stop dismissing that kind of thoughtfulness as worthless.
