Captain Canuck Legacy What began as a patriotic expression from an unknown, independent artist and writer has evolved into a cultural icon. Captain Canuck is Canada's favorite comic book superhero, and after a 10 year leave of absence, the Captain is back - this time to stop illegal weapons being smuggled en route from the US to Canada! This post was deleted for the following reason: you can't link to your dad's comic on metafilter, it's too self-linkish

That hyperlink at the beginning is begging for a colon or some sort of grammatical strong pause.

Serves me right for posting at 3am.

Sorry, but isn't this kinda sorta self-link, or at least a gross conflict of interest?

What sort of name is Canuck? Hardly inspires confidence

"Sorry, Captain Invincible, Captain Thunder and Captain Amazing are all tied up now - we're sending along Captain Canuck. ....No he doesn't have any superpowers but he's very methodical and conscientious?"

Oddly enough, I think I have all of those early comics. They were pretty entertaining, in an earnest, bilingual Canada kinda way.
