Tacheback '06 starts today. If, like me, you need a charitable reason to cultivate some face furniture without your wife withdrawing the conjugals, then this is our lucky day posted by handybitesize (17 comments total)

do i really have to investigate what a tache is now? it would have been most convenient for me if you had included definition, pictures, uses, and context, but then, i guess you don't care about me, do you? i'm going to lunch, and i expect some more information posted here by the time i'm back. good day sir. posted by poppo at 8:20 AM on September 1, 2006

You are assuming poppo is a "dude" (or an iranian woman?). posted by spock at 8:48 AM on September 1, 2006
If a 'tache is anything like a 'stache, you can count me out. posted by prostyle at 8:51 AM on September 1, 2006

This, along with the word "tache," was so cryptic to me I had to click on the link. Mustaches. OK. Much ado about nothing.
While some guys look better with them (Tom Sellack, Burt Reynolds and Sam Elliot) if I am being kissed, facial hair is right out. My husband looks smoking-hot-sexy with a Dave Navarro type mustache and beard but he knows my rule and abides by it. posted by Secret Life of Gravy at 9:27 AM on September 1, 2006
That link deserves to be shot, maybe this is what I was looking for posted by handybitesize at 9:30 AM on September 1, 2006
I had one for 30 years. Then I shaved it off and I won't grow it back, thanks. I realize now I lived for 30 years under the mistaken impression I looked better with it. posted by tommasz at 10:09 AM on September 1, 2006 [1 favorite]
As others have already noted, the correct abbreviation of "moustache" is "stache", not "tache". "Tache" is French for "stain".
