Being an arachnophobe is only a problem if you scroll straight through the animal section to see the cute widdle Eskimo puppy or the ibis...and bam! Gotcha!

I now have the Weedy Sea Dragon as my desktop background. There are some great shots there!

Some damn nice illustrations too. I wouldn't mind getting into doing some illustrations for articles, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Indeed, yeti.

The standards are higher than when I first started there almost two years ago, but it's mostly for the better. I'm in awe of the fine-tooth-comb given Featured Article and Featured Picture candidates nowadays. (And severely intimidated by the effort required. I'd rather do good work in the trenches.)

My favorite Wikipedia picture of all time.

Wow, some of those are really great.

Salmonberry: leafy sea dragons (apparently a relative of weedy sea dragons) are awesome as well. I got to see some at an aquarium exhibit on seahorses, and they camouflage *amazingly* well with seaweed.
