I kind of dig Amazon's tongue-in-cheek opportunistic humor; thank goodness there wasn't anything in my mouth when I saw their butterfly ballot gimmick a while back, or my monitor would've been a mess.

"Cons: you don't know what it is, and neither do we".

Nice one.

Good to see a big company still has a sense of humor, even though you *know* there were 6 meetings and 3 lawyers...

"6 meetings and 3 lawyers"

On the contrary: As with the butterfly ballot interface, this appears to have been a guerrilla action on the part of Amazon's designers.

The reply you get....

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Just a note to confirm that we've received your request to be notified when "Ginger" is available for ordering.

We don't yet know when this item will be available again, but as soon as it is, we'll send you an e-mail to let you know. Since supply is often limited and some products sell out quickly, we recommend that you place your order as soon as you receive our notification e-mail.

If, for any reason, you change your mind and want to cancel this request, please follow the link below
