I enjoy MC Plus+ more than Frontalot because while Frontalot rhymes about the larger "geek culture", MC Plus+ focuses just on the programming.

"I taught your mom about Hoare semantics!" Genius.

There are also compliations called Rhymetorrents floating around which attempt to cover the whole nerdcore genre.

As you might imagine, some of it is good... some of it, well. Yeah.

Too bad this stuff usually sucks.

What ph00dz said.

OK, I just listened to "The Empty Set" and it didn't entirely suck. It sort of drifted in and out of suckage... but way better than Frontalot and any of Chris's not-good songs.

You say this like there are any Frontalot songs that are not good, which is

You say this like there are any Frontalot songs that are not good, which is demonstrably false.

I didn't, but maybe the guy who sent me the link did. Or maybe his friend's ex-wife's chiropractor did. Asshole.

Erm, and MC Plus+ isn't even in that article.

I like how the MC Plus+ Algorhythms disc is numbered in gray code.

I haven't heard any MC Frontalot besides "Indier than Thou," but man, that's an awesome song.

It's too bad there's no nerdcore rap that's any good. It really just sucks ass.

The guys with any grasp of rapping are generally just namedropping terminology they found on Wikipedia, and the people who are genuine either can't rap or make beats and generally don't bother to try.

Did you know that Drew from Toothpaste for Dinner is the guy behind Kompressor?

It's funny, but his flow sucks.

Yes. Chris and Frontalot can flow tho.

Some friends of mine booked MC Chris at a club downtown here, and it was awesome. It was really a 'rave' night, all the other djs were D&B and techno, so people weren't actually there to see him, for the most part, but he worked the crowd regardless. A room full of junglists yelling "Nerd Power!' was kinda funny.

rajbot, I had no idea. Thanks!

Oh yeah, wasn't trying to dis by association. I love frontalot, and haven't really checked out Chris, so he's on the list now.

But I'm a little suprised that the thread hasn't gotten to MC Hawking who, despite obvious physical obstacles, has better flow.
