Boags beer is better. This ad, like all other ads, is shit. posted by Effigy2000 at 3:39 AM on September 14, 2006

You can tell it's not a good beer because he poured it on himself. If this were an ad for Stella that would be a sacrilege. I'm not saying that Stella is necessariliy an excellent beer, just that wasting it like that would tarnish its "Reassuringly Expensive" marketing campaign. posted by Deathalicious at 6:50 AM on September 14, 2006
See it's funny cuz he's a big sloppy wreck of a man, and he's re-enacting a famous scene from a movie where a lithe young woman dances and pours stuff on herself, and... what's that? So that's not funny anymore? Well ha! It looks like Chris Farley is out of a job, now that... what? He's what? Oh. Nevermind. posted by Mister_A at 6:57 AM on September 14, 2006
It hijacked my entire screen. :( Not cool. posted by yeti at 7:37 AM on September 14, 2006
Loved it. All you haters can keep drinking your "Haterade". I'm going to go pour a Carlton Draught. Between this and the Big Beer ad, I'm hooked. posted by indiebass at 7:46 AM on September 14, 2006
I give up, what's the movie it's reenacting? posted by Mr.Encyclopedia at 3:57 PM on September 14, 2006
pompoms, you only drink it because it's cheap, and you're cheap.
I like the slogan, "made form beer", inferring that it's made from beer leavings or dregs, which is about right.
Though of course, I'll be drinking it tonight. posted by wilful at 6:40 PM on September 14, 2006
Oh, boags being better? You'd be from northern tassie then. Almost as shit a beer. Not quite, but as close as no mind. Try a blind test between boags strong-arm and VB, you'll not care which one.
Mass-production watery swill, Carlton, Boags, Tooheys. At least Carlton has good ads. posted by wilful at 6:43 PM on September 14, 2006
