In addition to all the Bergman stuff, I particularly dig Nykvist's Woody Allen stuff, like Another Woman, Crimes and Misdemeanors, and Celebrity.
Also, The Ox (directed by Nykvist) is actually very good. posted by gramschmidt at 1:23 AM on September 22, 2006
Sad news. The Sacrifice is probably the most beautiful movie I have ever seen. posted by Otis at 8:58 AM on September 22, 2006
A genius, responsible for some of the most amazing cinematography ... how long will it be before Bergman shuffles off this mortal coil?
Rest in peace. posted by blucevalo at 9:01 AM on September 22, 2006

Seconded. It was one of the most moving films I've ever seen. I'd forgotten that Nykvist worked on it. posted by Iridic at 9:02 AM on September 22, 2006
Fanny and Alexander is one of my favorite movies. I hate to hear about this kind of stuff while I'm at work. It's embarrassing when someone sees me crying at my desk. posted by MotherTucker at 11:42 AM on September 22, 2006
