It's an online version of Eat Poop You Cat; Chinese whispers through pictures. There are lots of examples to browse, and you can register fairly easily to play.

Whoa, by the name I thought I would like to play this... but I can't draw "If the orchestra had only realised that green cheese was better than applesauce, the end of the world could have been averted."

Not in a reasonable amount of time anyhow.

The interface is kind of clumsy, but it's a fun idea and some of the examples are pretty amusing.

A great game, and kudos are due for implementing it on the web. If only it worked...

...after posting, and a couple of error messages, it finally does, and with hilarious results (Bossy Africa = Weeping Kansas).

Carrot plus knife = mushroom. A weird metaphor I came up with yesterday. Can you guess what it means?

Kids these days don't know a shiitake from a morel from a chef's knife?

Super Duper Games just implemented their version of this, which looks a bit nicer.... Telegram.

SDG probably deserves it's own FPP.

Heh. Good stuff.

Well, I just wasted a few hours. WHat fun. What jolly good fun.

Honestly, I had to teach myself Paint in under an hour, and was pretty happy with the result, and then got a good laugh afterwards. Good stuff.

I'm waiting for my first art submission to finish out the game it's in. Line art with a sharpee, digital camera, coloring and finishing in GIMP—hardcore!

This turned out ... odd.

I am so bad at art. No fair. I want to play too. I'm sure I could barely even draw a vegetable.

You are nothing compared to the vast scope of the universe, Mulp. Now go to bed.

I'm sitting here laughing my ass off at this one.

I GIF YOUR FACE OFF! However, their email notification system is really, really broken. I had to go a-huntin.

It didn't take long for someone to try to ruin it. Oh boy, coffee sure is goddamn swell.
posted by JHarris at 8:28 AM on September 27, 2006

I'm not entirely convinced that was even ruination, though. The site has shown some odd behavior—I submitted (once) an innocuous opening line that has shown up in at least four complete games now. The site is a bit rough around the edges.

The coffee thing was definitely an error, the user whose sentence it is has been a normal participant otherwise.

cortex, it's not the size of the ship but the motion of the ocean. And it seems to be repeating the error pretty frequently, though in random amounts.

Conclusion: this amateur site design is amateurish!
