Mr. Snuffleupagus is decidedly NOT an elephant. According the the Muppet wiki episode #3007 of Seseme Street covers this. (Which I only vaguely remember via the most obfuscated of shadows.) Also, I just spent 30 minutes adding Muppets to my friends list. No, I don't care. It's Sunday. They're my friends.

You know what I always thought was weird? Adults who thought nothing of talking to an eight foot, speaking, dancing, singing, roller-skating yellow bird with a feather-fro formed the impression that Snuffleupagus was imaginary.
