Ooooh, nice one, jonson! I really love Iron Curtain-era Eatsren European graphic art. This is a gold mine!

Man Jonson, between this and the other day's 50s artwork post, you're making my week! Got any other picture goodness up your sleeve?

I strongly encourage everyone who likes this sort of thing to go to GrowABrain - like 20 new links a day, all on cool eclectic topics, and best of all, it's run by one of our own.

Graphic design is supposed to be ephemeral, drifting with fashion and totally changeable. And, in fact, if you look at a design annual from 1981 or 1972 or pick-your-date most of it looks badly dated.

But I think that as long as these are being looked at with human eyes at least 90% of them will look good. In their own tiny way these designers seem to have hit on an absolute.

I have it on good authority that eastern European women are dynamite in the sack.

So Britain is in Eastern Europe now? That explains a lot.

Oh, and great post, as usual!
