I'm such a wimp, I scream my head off when I go around a corner and I know some dude in a costume is going to jump out at me. I run through these kinds of things with my head down, eyes closed and grabbing my friends arm to guide me, and I still scream the loudest. Still, these look damn cool. I wish I weren't such a wimp.

I wish some of these were in my area. All the haunted houses I've been have been disappointments. They all seem to follow the same mtv formula: blasting white zombie-ish metal throughout, no suspense or build up, just costumed guys jumping out at you in every room. Its like the chainsaw massacre remake(s) approach to horror - a constant assault on the senses that quickly loses impack, no sense of craft or quality (like, say, the original chainsaw massacre).

This is one of those rare times I regret moving from NY to Seattle. No decent haunted houses, and no decent roller coasters. Damn it!
